A group of leading CQUniversity experts will join some of Australia’s top innovators to present a unique event that will help business and industry of all persuasions tackle disruptive innovation and change head-on.

The Change From Any Chair event to be held at CQUni’s Noosa Campus is aimed at individuals and teams working in community, disability, government and the not-for-profit sectors.

CQUni Noosa Associate Vice-Chancellor and one of the key presenters, Associate Professor Teressa Schmidt said attendees would find new ways to solve old problems, lead and manage amidst significant change and use traditional marketing principles to success in a changing and disruptive environment.

“Throughout all industry sectors, significant disruption is either already occurring or on the way,” she said.

“Technological advancements, changing funding models, changing customer/client expectations and increasingly competitive markets require new ways of thinking and working.

“The CQU Noosa Institute has created this interactive and hands-on educational event to equip individuals and teams with the skills and knowledge they require to lead, manage and embrace disruptive innovation and change, no matter what position they hold in an organisation.”

Included in the guest speaker line-up is Edgeware Creative Entrepreneurship Founding Director and Innovator-in-Residence at Comlink Limited Michael Doneman.

“Michael will talk about disruption in the health sector and the case for social innovation in Comlink,” Teressa said.

Michael will also be part of a panel discussion along with CQU Social Innovation Program Manager Steve Williams.  The panel discussion will focus on practical strategies and the panellist’s experiences in facilitating innovation and change.
