Police are urging residents in the Brightwater Estate area to ensure they are being security conscious, after three alleged burglaries which occurred overnight on January 20.
Offenders are allegedly entering dwellings by cutting security screens and reaching into open doors that have not been secured by a key or entering via unsecured doors.
Once inside the dwelling, unknown offenders are allegedly taking purses, electronic items, money and car keys.
The car keys are then being used to enter cars, remove property and on one incident, a vehicle parked in a driveway was also stolen.
Police are reminding Brightwater community members to secure their homes and vehicles, key lock their sliding doors and screen doors at all times, increase lighting around their premises and report any suspicious activity to police immediately.
The streets that were affected overnight include:
- Barramundi Court
- Photinia Crescent
