Council OM will determine the fate of Proposed Community Facilities Precinct
Dear Members and Residents,
Tomorrow (Thursday 20 June 2019) at the Sunshine Coast Council Ordinary Meeting (OM), Sunshine Coast Councillors will vote on the final determination of the Palmview Urban Investigation Areas with the northern portion (UIA B North) on Peter Crosby Way, Sippy Downs including the proposed and much anticipated Sippy Downs Community Facilities Precinct.
At this time we would like to thank the 351 community members who completed “Letters of Support” which have formed an integral part of body of information submitted to council for consideration and a very sincere thanks to Cr Christian Dickson for his enthusiasm and support for the proposed facilities precinct.

The Ordinary Meeting commences at 11am on Thursday 20 June at the Nambour Council Chambers. Residents are encouraged to attend to show support.

Referenced Letter from State Government
Through town planning consultant Innovative Planning Solutions, the Sippy Downs & District Community Association Inc (SDDCA) has been engaging with the landowner re a parcel of land bordering Chancellor Park Estate, located on Peter Crosby Way, Sippy Downs. The late Peter Crosby farmed the land for almost 50 years and had a vision to see community facilities delivered on this land for the benefit of Sippy Downs residents. The SDDCA has been engaging with Ben Crosby, who continues to have a contractual interest, and new landowners Living Choice Australia.
To paint a clear picture of the development site – it is mainly cleared farmland. All of the mature trees bordering Red Cedar Street and Sippy Creek would be retained. Of the 50ha site, only 13ha is proposed for development.
