Take the first step t towards improving your health and wellbeing and check out what's new in council's free or low-cost Healthy Sunshine Coast fitness classes for groups, seniors and mums with bubs.

Community Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said there is an exciting array of classes offering many benefits.
"Besides the fact that taking part in regular physical activity is important for everyone's health, the program allows residents to enjoy our enviable climate and natural beauty and importantly it is free or low-cost," Cr McKay said.
"We are excited to announce our first aqua fitness class for seniors and the return of a mums and bubs yoga class commencing on Monday, April 29.

"For those who love exploring the scenic trails in the region, we've added bushwalking and mountain biking classes to suit all levels of fitness.
"The strength of our award-winning fitness program has been the partnerships with qualified trainers and organisations delivering on our vision for a healthy, smart, creative community."
Snapshot of new Healthy Sunshine Coast classes:
·  Mums and Bubs Yoga Class from 9.30-10.30am on April 29 at Coolum Beach Uniting Church Hall. Just $5 per class.
·  Seniors Aqua Fitness class from 10:30am on April 29 at Little Mountain Aquatic Centre. $3 per person for a 30 minute water activity class or $10 for the class and morning tea at the onsite café.
·  Join Sunshine Coast Bushwalking Club from June to October and explore our wonderful trails. Just $5 per person. Bookings are required.
·  Learn tips from mountain bike experts and put your new skills to test by at Caloundra's Sugarbag Mountain Bike Trail at sessions from 7 am to noon on: 12 May, 4 August and 3 November. Just $10 per person per session. BYO bike or a hire bike can be arranged.
