Don’t bank on Palaszczuk fixing congestion crisis

Annastacia Palaszczuk needs to put her money where her mouth is and fund vital infrastructure projects to get the South East moving again.

Less than two weeks out from the State Budget, LNP Leader Deb Frecklington called on the Palaszczuk Labor Government to put politics aside and put money on the table for light rail Stage 3A and for a second M1.

During a visit to the Gold Coast today, Ms Frecklington said Labor doesn’t have a plan to bust congestion or create jobs.

“The bitterly divided Palaszczuk Labor Government is anti-jobs and anti-infrastructure,” Ms Frecklington said.

“Annastacia Palaszczuk is out of touch and doesn’t understand how bad our roads have become because her preferred method of transport is a taxpayer funded jet.

“She can’t be trusted to fix our roads and bust congestion.

“Annastacia Palaszczuk and her embattled Transport Minister Mark Bailey are full of excuses, lies and delays.

“Instead of squabbling with the Federal Government over funding, Labor should be putting money on the table to build infrastructure.

“Less bickering and more building.

“Only the LNP will invest in infrastructure and has ready committed to building a second M1.

“The only road block is Annastacia Palaszczuk and her dreadfully wrong priorities.”

LNP Member for Bonney Sam O’Connor said frustrations have reached boiling point on the Gold Coast.

“Annastacia Palaszczuk has no plan to fix the Coast’s congestion crisis,” Mr O’Connor said.

“The Palaszczuk Labor Government is all talk and no action.

“The South-East is moving at a snail’s pace, just like this incompetent Labor government.”
