"LET'S UNITE AUSTRALIA"
A special hello to all my fellow Australians! The 2007 federal election is in my opinion the most important the people of Australia have yet had to face.
Why? Because in this chaotic world in which we live, there are many issues we must be prepared to face if we are to ensure the future wellbeing for all Australians. For too long many important issues have been ignored by our politicians. I will tackle these important issues.
I have a proven record of being someone who has the interest of the country and its people at heart, and someone not scared to take on those who would seek to destroy this great country of ours.
Please vote 1, Pauline for the Senate, and I will faithfully represent you in the Australian Senate - the "States' House".
"At Federation in 1901, the Senate (Upper House or sometimes referred to as the "States' House") was created with the intention of allowing each State to be equally represented and also providing a means of review of the House of Representatives.
The Senate therefore, has the power and, I believe it is their duty, to reject any proposed legislation which it does not consider is in the interest of the Australian people. The Senate is a brake on the excesses of government.
A government, if it is also in control of the Senate, can use their numbers to ram through legislation which may not be in the interest of the Australian people.
As a Senator, I would oppose and fight against any proposed legislation which, I considered, was not in the best interests of the Australian people."
