It’s all systems go at one of the Sunshine Coast’s most-anticipated boutique developments with construction well underway at Elevate on Buderim, located just a stone’s throw from the Buderim’s popular high street precinct.
Those who have already bought one of the seven luxury apartments in HMR Project’s $7.5 million development can look forward to celebrating Christmas in their new homes thanks to builders Devcon Building Co. being ahead of schedule.
HMR Projects Director Ken Reed said he was delighted with the progress despite the weather being unseasonably wet in the month of June.
“Devcon has done an exceptional job of staying on track, despite some challenging conditions, and we are really starting to see the vision for Elevate on Buderim become a reality,” said Mr Reed.
“We wanted to combine urban sophistication with the village appeal of Buderim and we have worked hard to choose construction materials and methodologies that complement the Buderim streetscape and community plan.
“The iconic lebbek tree which overlooks the site was carefully integrated into the design of the building providing dappled shade for the ground-floor restaurant deck. We continue to work closely with environment officers from Sunshine Coast Council to ensure we protect this beautiful part of Buderim’s heritage.”
Four apartments were snapped up soon after the project came to market with only one of the two expansive penthouses remaining and two three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments.
“Now that construction is progressing well we have a new wave of interest from those who were waiting to see the development come to fruition, so we expect the remaining apartments will sell prior to completion.”
Managing Director of Devcon Building Co. Michael Kain said all was on track to meet the pre-Christmas completion date with the second level slab being poured in early August, following completion of blockwork to the first level.
“Our amazing team of staff and quality local subcontractors is making great progress and with 35 to 40 workers onsite at peak times, the site is a hive of activity,” said Mr Kain.
“Boutique projects such as Elevate on Buderim provide a significant boost to the local economy given the high-end finishes and quality of workmanship required to deliver to the specifications. We’re committed to using trades from the local area to retain that economic impact here on the Coast ensuring the spend goes straight back to local businesses and service providers.”
Brodie Rodgers from Ray White Buderim said sales figures in Buderim continued to be encouraging with 69 per cent of buyers consistently being owner occupiers.
"The Sunshine Coast is still ranked one of the hottest markets as Queensland is enjoying some of the highest interstate migration rates in the country,” said Mr Rodgers.
“Our clearance rates for our auctions in June jumped to 50 per cent which we believe reflects a spike in buyer confidence after the recent federal election result.”
Elevate on Buderim offers light-filled living and entertainment areas with modern, luxurious finishes such as Northern Beech timber flooring, Miele appliances and impressive stone benchtops throughout.
