An emergency declaration made yesterday afternoon at Alexandra Headlands under the Public Safety Preservation Act has been revoked.
The declaration was made around 3.25pm yesterday and encompassed Juan Street and was bounded by Alex Parade to the north, Mary Street to the west, Mayfield Street to the east and William Street to the south.
A man was taken into police custody around 6.30pm and the area was rendered safe after specialist police searched and cleared the scene and the declaration was revoked at 7.45pm.
The Queensland Police Service would like to thank everyone that was affected for their patience and understanding while they worked on their complex and lengthy negotiations with the man.
