FREE advertising for Restaurants & Cafés because we are ‘Here if you need’

Published:

You too could be sitting at home waiting for your dinner from you favourite local hangout, looking at some birds who don't understand social distancing.

As we all know, COVID-19 and the measures we all need to take to keep everybody safe, are hitting us all hard whether you're in small business or not.

We understand a lot of businesses on the Sunshine Coast are adapting their business to fit the new public health guidelines, offering takeaway only and/or delivery services to keep their businesses operating and some staff employed.

People who are self-isolating are looking online for takeaway options and ordering food on apps and we wanted to make sure there was an easy way to connect the community with local businesses. In any way we can, wherever the opportunities present themselves (for example phoning an order rather than using an app) we wanted to make sure that profits stayed in the hands of small businesses and their local employees, rather than large portions being taken by third party delivery apps.

For all local restaurants and café’s we are offering free advertising on our website and on our social media because we are “Here if you need”. We have set up a new area onsite and all you need to do is fill out our "Here if you need" online form with your business details and we will get it up in that new category, which will be displayed on our front page and shared on our socials.

Again, this is free, there will be NO charge for this.

To give you an idea of what this free advertising looks like, here is a screenshot of the category itself and an example of one of our "Here if you need" listing for a totally not at all hypothetical imaginary cafe.

We are a small family-owned and operated business, we know what it is like when times are tough. As events have been shut down on the coast for the time being, we may as well still help our community by helping those who need these delivery/takeaway services and of course the businesses that need to get the word out that they have changed their operations and what they have available.

Please share this with your friends, family, local businesses and anywhere you can. We look forward to putting up your Restaurant or Café for you and are sure that with all of us supporting each other, we will get through this time together 😊
