Free Music Event in Eumundi Park Sounds

Join us with your picnic rug on Sunday 15 September from 2pm - 5pm for PARK SOUNDS - a fabulous afternoon of FREE live music in Dick Caplick Park, right in the centre of town. The line-up will see RENNY FIELD, TOBY ROBINSON and THE RUMBRELLAS take to the stage!

The Rumbrellas are an explosion of funk, soul, reggae and hip hop, featuring members of festival favourites The Toothfaeries, Jambezi, Houseprouds and The Barleyshakes.

Spearheading the Rumbrellas’ sound is lyricist/guitarist Ryan Giles, whose passion for creating and performing dance-based music shines through in everything he does. Ryan is the sharp focal point to a new sound of groove-heavy beats, infectious melodies, coupled with intelligent, positive and conscious songcraft.

Ryan, Sparky and Jay Ray’s live performance experience is undeniable, and the one style and sound they truly love is the feel and groove of old school hip hop. Having formed as the Rumbrellas, they found the muse that would hit them like a freight train, and within a very short space of time, have written more than 25 new tracks.

Capturing the spirit of 80s and early 90s dance and hip hop, they found they had single-handedly created a new sound. Fans of De La Soul, Arrested Development, Beastie Boys, Tone Loc, Sublime, Fugees and A Tribe Called Quest will feel right at home with the Rumbrellas.

Their debut EP ‘Among The Sun’ has just been released, and production of their second EP is in full swing for release late 2019.

Soulful. Engaging. Enigmatic. That's Toby Robinson.

Toby's music brings the room to life. After two decades performing on the international stage, Toby has cemented his reputation as one of Australia's leading indie/ folk pop artists, playing alongside Missy Higgins, Jen Cloher, Archie Roach, Fanny Lumsden and Toni Childs.

Known for his exceptional breadth, craftsmanship and songwriting ability, Toby and his music are loved by the radio community. Every single he's released has been added to ABC network Australia-wide and played on Triple J and Double J, and his latest single ‘When The Sun Come Up Again’ sat at #1 for more than a month on the AMRAP charts last year.

Toby has toured for the past three years, living on the road and building audiences around Australia, including performances at Woodford Folk Festival, Tamworth Country Music Festival, and Mullumbimby Music Festival, as well as organising drought relief concerts in towns throughout Western Queensland.

He's set to release his third studio album in 2020 with three singles to be released both this year and next.

Renny Field has played concert stages, street corners, living rooms, island resorts, country pubs, op shops and more.

His performances are the sum total of all these experiences - of how they have shaped him as a musician, of where they have brought him as a person. A way of bridging the gap between the things that define us as individuals and the common ground that we all share.

Drawing heavily on the folk influences of artists he has toured and performed with over the years, his music veers from rambling dialogues to deep explorations of the heart and soul, the stories interwoven through a pop sensibility that remains constant through shifting musical landscapes. An exploration of the space where art meets life and vice versa.

N.B. This is an alcohol-free event
