Justice Crew – 6 July
Eight-time ARIA nominees bringing their hot new show for 17 special performances across Queensland and New South Wales. Performing their biggest hits, including “Que Sera,” “Boom Boom,” “Everybody,” “ Best Night, ” “Love my Life” and their hottest new material.
Bakersfield Mist – 6 July
Is the true value of art is in the eyes of the beholder? Maude (Julie Nihill), an unemployed bartender, has bought a painting for a few bucks from an opp shop. Despite almost trashing it, she now thinks it’s a Jackson Pollock worth millions. In fact she’s certain it is.
But when world-class art expert, Lionel Percy (John Wood), flies over from New York and arrives at her trailer park home in Bakersfield to authenticate the painting, he really has no idea what he’s about to discover. Starring John Wood and Julie Hill, this comedy by playwright Stephen Sachs is based on a true story.
First World White Girls: Botox Party – 7 July

British Invasion (tributes to Rod Stewart, David Bowie and Elton John) – 8 July
Showcasing the best of British Rock from the 70’s and 80’s, this spectacular stage show features many of the most beloved and favourite songs of all time. British Invasion is an incredible line-up of talent that will have you believing that you’ve seen Bowie, Elton John and Rod Stewart together in a concert of supernova proportions.
Jane Rutter – 8 July
Legendary Australian Flautist Jane Rutter, awarded the prestigious French medal Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres in 2016 is a classical trailblazer who has devoted her life to French flute playing with a career of longevity that spans decades.
Rockwiz Live – 18 July
Join Julia, Brian, Dugald and the RocKwiz OrKestra as they light up theatres all over Australia. Enjoy your favourite segments… Who Can it Be Now, Million Dollar Riff, the Furious Five, Contestant Karaoke. Be amazed by the dazzling duets, the special guests, Julia’s charisma and Dugald’s biceps. As usual, Brian will be coaxing members of the audience to play key roles in the evening’s shenanigans.
Doug Parkinson – 22 July
Australia’s greatest soul voice Doug Parkinson presents the ultimate tribute to Joe Cocker with hits including Hitchcock Railway, Delta Lady, You Can Leave Your Hat On, She Came In Through The Bathroom Window, The Letter. A night of soul and rock classics, the electric current runs high, generated from the very talented 8 piece band and of course the powerful and unique voice of Doug Parkinson.
Dustier than ever – 23 July
Performed by The Chris Cook Band, a popular, eclectic, country 3-piece band based in northern NSW, with the permission of Joy McKean, Slim Dusty’s wife. Chis, a multiinstrumentalist and song-writer, who wrote 3 songs recorded by Slim Dusty, is accompanied by a very able double-bass player who also sings and a drummer/percussionist. The songs and music are accompanied by Chris’s encyclopaedic knowledge of Slim’s music and snippets from times they spent together.
Sydney Piano Competition- GUGNIN, ANDREY – 28 July
Andrey Gugnin is the winner of the Ernest Hutcheson First Prize of the 2016 Sydney International Piano Competition. He is also the winner of the Eileen Joyce Best Overall Concerto Prize, the Miriam Hyde Best 19th or 20th Century Concerto Prize, the Hephzibah Menuhin Best Violin and Piano Sonata Prize and the Roger Smalley Best Preliminaries Round 1 Recital Prize. This young artist has regularly toured as a recitalist, chamber music partner and a soloist with orchestras around the world.
America in Concert – 29 July
With a career spanning more than 47 years and counting, America has an extensive catalogue of hits including Ventura Highway, Tin Man, Sister Golden Hair, A Horse With No Name and many more. Original founding members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell with be performing these hits along with support musicians.
Cirque Africa – 1 August
100% African, 100% Energy, 100% Fun. Cirque Africa features the world-renowned African troupe, consisting of 25 performing artists from 6 African countries including acrobats, dancers, percussionist, musicians and contortionists, performing a 100 minute awe-inspiring show. Highlighted with stunning colourful African costumes, high-energy knuckle-biting acrobatic acts, humorous comedy traditional, modern original composed music and vibrant dance routines.
Hello, Goodbye and Happy Birthday – 1 August
Hello, Goodbye & Happy Birthday celebrates two milestone birthdays – eighteen and eighty – major transition points of adult life. One represents untold potential, the other, the accumulation of a lifetime of experiences. Scripted from intimate real-life conversations with people either side of these milestones, Hello, Goodbye & Happy Birthday is the powerful new work from Roslyn Oades & Collaborators.
The Ten Tennors – 10 August
Celebrated for their wonderfully vast repertoire, breathtaking arrangements and powerful live performances, The TEN Tenors respectfully tip their hats not only to the great classical tenors and composers, but also to contemporary music’s most popular pop and rock artists. Kitty Flanagan; Smashing – 19 August
Smashing - A brand new show from Kitty Flanagan. Love songs, sex, algorithms, chimps, clowns and psychics, everything is getting “smashed”. Smashing; it’s fun AND learning.
Midsummer Night’s Dream – 15 August
Melbourne City Ballet brings their newest season, a magical, neoclassical ballet interpretation of the William Shakespeare classic “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. This Shakespearean adaption explores three different stories within the border of Athens and Fairyland. Whilst the Amazonian Queen and Athenian King prepare for their wedding, two Athenian couples are caught in an arranged marriage dilemma which is only made worse by the feud of the King and Queen of the Fairies.
