State Member for Buderim, Brent Mickelberg MP has taken to the streets with his inaugural electorate-wide community survey, urging everyone in his electorate to speak up and make the most of the opportunity to provide feedback.
"I am passionate about fighting for the issues that affect our local community and for working hard to make the changes and create the opportunities we need.
"In order to fully understand these needs and the priority that should be given to them, I need people who live in the Buderim Electorate to speak up," Mr Mickelberg said.
"For me the big question is this: If you could fix just one thing in our local area what would it be?
Naturally I want to know what you think about the local economy and the cost of living; the quality of our health care and schools; your thoughts on roads and congestion, public transport and crime. I am also curious about your views on planning and development and the associated impacts.
"As your State Member, I hope the survey results will give me clarity and purpose so that I can further develop an action plan designed to protect our way of life - a plan that you will help build, and one that is based on your values, needs and priorities.
Mr Mickelberg said that close to 20,000 printed versions of the survey have been delivered and his office has already received a flurry of returns.
"If completing online is easier, simply click to connect at www.buderimsurvey.com.au or visit my Facebook page for the link.
"While there is no specific deadline for surveys to be returned I am hoping to publish the results in four to six weeks' time.
"I sincerely thank my community in advance for getting on board and making the most of this opportunity to be a part of the Buderim Electorate's future. Please contact my office with any queries or concerns on 5406 2100," Mr Mickelberg said.
