The Sunshine Coast Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for witnesses to a traffic incident in Maroochydore on January 7 in which a cyclist was seriously injured. Around 8pm a 48-year-old male cyclist riding in the westbound lane of Bradman Avenue, between O'Connor and Thomas Streets, has clipped the rear of a four-wheel drive travelling in the same direction. The cyclist lost control and crashed onto the roadway, sustaining serious head injuries. Investigators would like to speak with the driver of a white Toyota Landcruiser with a 'Salty Souls' sticker on the rear window (pictured). The driver is being treated as a potential witness as they may not be aware the incident occurred.
