Two local school were lucky enough to have a visit from the Queensland Police Pipes and Drums this morning, August 27.

Both Mooloolaba State Primary and Maroochydore State Primary schools got to experience Kops in Kilts, a program tailored to suit primary school children.

After a busy morning, kicking off Road Safety Week and ‘piping’ the Mooloolaba State students to school as part of their Walk to School program, these talented musicians made there way to Mooloolaba Primary.

We’re not sure who had more fun, the kids or Constable Clancy and Adopt-a-Cop Lauren.

The performance is interactive with students given the opportunity to play percussion instruments. With a combination of both traditional and modern pipe band music, along with some children’s favourites, it’s often the first time some children have seen a set of bagpipes, let alone heard them played by a member in a kilt!

Thanks kids and teachers, we had a great time with you all this morning!
