"I have always acknowledged that Parliament is a place for robust debate, but the Premier's decision today to use the children of Opposition members to score political points was disgraceful.

"As a wife and a mum, I know only too well the sacrifices that families make so their loved ones can serve the public in Parliament.

"The children of MPs are not and never have been part of the political process.

"Children should never be targeted in political attacks. They should always be off-limits.

"The Premier's conduct should be an example to the rest of Parliament, but today she stepped into the political gutter.

"I ask her to apologise publicly for her conduct."
