A Sunshine Coast counsellor has come up with an innovative App which she believes will help couples engage in positive harmonious relationships which could ultimately help reduce spiralling divorce rates.

Joanne Wilson of TheConfidante Counselling which operates in Cotton Tree and Buderim, has worked with over 250 clients in the past two years and says one of the biggest issues couples face in our fast paced society is they simply don’t have or don’t find the time to reengage and rejuvenate their relationships.

“We live in an age where over 50% of divorces in Queensland involve children and approximately one in three marriages don’t last. That’s a scary statistic and it’s never been more important to make a daily commitment to keep our relationships thriving because the impact can affect generations to come,” Joanne said.

“An App like this is a first in Australia.  As a Relationship Specialist, I’m passionate about providing outstanding services to help support and save relationships and creating a free App was the next logical step to help couples build or re-establish their connections.”

Joanne engaged Marcoola based Quickapp to build her App with a goal of providing couples with daily inspirations via handy “push notifications” to inspire stronger commitments to their relationship or marriage.  Couples can also receive a complementary gift, direct access to services and a number of outstanding rewards for positive change. “We’ve loved the daily inspiring quotes and the wealth of resources at our fingertips.  They remind of us of the importance of, and benefits of nurturing our relationship.” say Buderim residents, Fran and Kurt Natalier.

“TheConfidante’s App has been designed to be a dynamic tool that will continually keep clients in touch with new initiatives and research to support and enliven relationships, it also gives them a snapshot of our ethos including testimonials and upcoming events.”

“I’m excited to continue to provide leading and exceptional Counselling services supported by an easily accessible App, It’s also imperative that clients can instantly gauge the type of Counselling services we provide in a trusted and therapeutic environment because the sooner they seek assistance the better chance we have of implementing strategies to help their long term relationship,” Joanne said.

Together with Immanuel Lutheran College, Joanne is also helping supporting the community with this years’ Relationship Rejuvenator Seminar on Sunday, 13 September at 11am at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Buderim.  The session is completely free as a service to the Community.  All ages welcome.  This is the third Seminar of its type and feedback indicates it is more than worthwhile to attend.  To read what people are saying, you can visit:  http://www.theconfidantecounselling.com/events.html

Joanne Wilson assures attendees it will be a fun and engaging session to breathe new life into your marriage, relationship or if single, prepare for your future one.  Come alone, with a friend or life partner and enjoy opportunities for free giveaways too!

The free App requires iOs 7.0 or later and optimised for IPhone 5 or later, Android and is available to download now.
