Join in a rare opportunity to meet author Clare Press at a delicious spring lunch from 12.30pm on October 18 at council's Venue 114, as she shares insight into the inspiring global change-makers featured in her latest book Rise & Resist.

In addition to being an author, Clare Press is Australian VOGUE's Sustainability Editor-at-large, a passionate advocate for ethical fashion, Australia's go-to journalist on the subject, sits on the Australian Advisory Board of Fashion Revolution and has a successful Wardrobe Crisis podcast series.

Clare will explain what sustainability looks like in a fashion business and will share insight into the global female change-makers featured in her recently launched book Rise & Resist, which will be available for purchase and signing.

Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network, Sustainability Award winners Anne Gibson and Joanna Kristoffersen, and other inspiring local business women will also share their own practical perspectives on how they embrace sustainability in their very differing businesses.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions, grab a signed copy of one of Clare's books, celebrate spring produce and be inspired by these shared conversations.

Tickets are just $35 per person, which includes a two course lunch and a drink on arrival. Catering is provided by Homegrown Café, Palmwoods and Spotted Dog Catering.  Bookings can be made via council's website. Don't miss out, tickets are limited.

Venue 114, formerly known as Lake Kawana Community Centre, is located at 114 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina and limited parking is available.

You can also catch Clare's Wardrobe Crisis author talk as part of the Fabric, Slow Fashion – Artful Living program at Pier 33, Mooloolaba from 6pm – 8pm on October 18. Bookings via www.scvenuesandevents.com.au
