Neighbourhood Watch members recognised at awards ceremony

Published:

A big congratulations goes out to our very own Maree Anderson who was recognised at the Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) Queensland conference over the weekend.

Maree was named the 'NHW State Member of the Year' at the state conference held at the Toowoomba City Golf Club on Saturday, November 2.

Maree is a very respected member of our local community and is the current treasurer and secretary of the Glasshouse Mountains NHW group.

Maree is also our district representative on the NHW Community Advisory Committee.

Mr Jim Madden MP and Assistant Commissioner Brett Schafferius presented the award on behalf of Commissioner Katarina Carroll.

Congratulations also goes to our Sunshine Coast District NHW Police Liaison officer of the year, Senior Constable Susan Lowndes.

Senior Constable Lowndes is a very reliable and committed liaison officer for the groups in the Beerwah Division and is constantly delivering crime prevention advice to her local community.

Well done, ladies!
