The first Cooroy Farmers & Artisans market was a huge success and a real win for our beautiful hinterland town.
Thousands of people turned out to see the fantastic variety of local produce, products and artworks. Australian celebrity chef, Matt Golinski was a big hit with the crowds, cooking up vegetables, chicken, beef and fish sourced at the market.
"I'm passionate about supporting primary producers and food artisans and a great way to do that is to visit your local Farmers Market. I was excited by the diversity available at the Cooroy Farmers & Artisans market," said Matt.
"We were really pleased with the first market, we had a great range of stall holders, lots of people browsing the stalls and heaps of positive feedback. Quite a few businesses in town commented that it had been a good day for their trading too as the markets had bought in extra people that also visited the local shops. Next market will be even better with an even bigger variety of stalls," said one of the organisers, Danielle Taylor.
The markets will be the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday of each month. For more information visit www.cooroymarket.com.au or find them on Facebook at @cooroymarket
