New-look Women's Lifestyle Expo is set to impress in 2016

Local women are being encouraged to gather their girlfriends for two days of inspiration, information and fun at the 2016 Women's Lifestyle Expo at council's Lake Kawana Community Centre from 9am to 4pm on Friday, August 19 and Saturday, August 20. 

This year's expo returns with a fresh new look, introducing Fashion Design HQ with activities such as the model search, fashion parades and a gourmet food and music festival. 

There will also be a celebrity appearance by SkinB5 Ambassador and celebrity chef from My Kitchen Rules Luke Hines.

Luke will tantalize the taste buds with his cooking demonstrations at SkinB5's workshop at 9.45am on the opening day.

As well as the Fashion Design HQ, expect to see more than 100 exhibitors from fields such as health and fitness, jewellery, beauty, travel education and finance. 

The community is also invited to take part in more than 30 free workshops covering physical health, personal and emotional health, financial health and creative health.

Expo organiser Sue Frost said that through the Sunshine Coast Women's Lifestyle Expo women would be able to connect with one another, support each other, share ideas, form partnerships – and to have a lot of fun in the process.

Sue has grown this event from a one-day event into a fully-fledged destination expo over two days, attracting more than 4000 visitors to the Lake Kawana Community Centre last year.

It is her quiet strength and determination to create a community for women, a destination for much-needed information for women in need, a girls day out shopping and laughing and a day of learning and workshops that has helped her grow this event into the expo that it is today. 

Sue is a passionate advocate for all things 'woman' and it is her many years' experience as a counsellor, volunteer, business owner, mother, grandmother and friend to many that has given her the drive to see her goals achieved in helping women in the community.

The Lake Kawana Community Centre is located at 114 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina.  Parking is available at the venue.  Overflow parking areas with shuttle buses providing transport to and from your car will also operate.
