  • FREE family-friendly event
  • live music, DJs, movie marathon, midnight balloon drop!

The team at The Imperial Hotel Eumundi has your New Year's Eve sorted with a stellar line-up of music, movies and good times.

And you'll be happy to hear that it is fabulously FREE!

The live music kicks off in the Imperial Beer Garden from 4pm - with Benny O (4 - 7pm) then Johnny Curran (7pm til late).

Head upstairs to The Green Room from 7pm where there'll be more live music with Nyssa Ray + DJ Rossi getting the vibe just right. If you want to dance, we'll have the grooves to get you moving.

To ensure the kids are entertained on the night, we'll have a Movie Marathon (three flicks - SING, TOY STORY 4 + HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE) screening in The Brewery, with doors opening at 6pm. Please ensure you BYO pillow, blankets, bean bags or small chairs.

While the movies are free of charge, please register the number of movie-goers in your group in advance by calling the hotel on 5442 8811.

There'll be a simple children's snack menu on the night - so kids can munch while they watch the flicks.

This will all culminate with a BALLOON DROP at midnight!

So, yes, plenty of fabulous and free family-friendly entertainment for your NYE at The Imperial - the perfect way to kick off your 2020!

More about the movies:

SING - Rated G - Screening starts 6.20pm

Dapper Koala Buster Moon presides over a once-grand theatre that has fallen on hard times. An eternal optimist, and a bit of a scoundrel, he loves his theater above all and will do anything to preserve it. Facing the crumbling of his life's ambition, he takes one final chance to restore his fading jewel to its former glory by producing the world's greatest singing competition. Five contestants emerge: a mouse, a timid elephant, a pig, a gorilla and a punk-rock porcupine.

TOY STORY 4 - Rated G - Screening starts 8.15pm

Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang embark on a road trip with Bonnie and a new toy named Forky. The adventurous journey turns into an unexpected reunion as Woody's slight detour leads him to his long-lost friend Bo Peep. As Woody and Bo discuss the old days, they soon start to realize that they're worlds apart when it comes to what they want from life as a toy.

HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE - Rated PG - Screening starts 10.10pm

Raised on hip-hop and foster care, defiant city kid Ricky Baker gets a fresh start in the New Zealand countryside. He quickly finds himself at home with his new foster family: the loving Aunt Bella, the cantankerous Uncle Hec, and dog Tupac. When a tragedy strikes that threatens to ship Ricky to another home, both he and Hec go on the run in the bush. As a national manhunt ensues, the newly branded outlaws must face their options: go out in a blaze of glory or overcome their differences and survive as a family. Equal parts road comedy and rousing

adventure story, HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE reminds us about the journey that growing up is (at any age) and those who help us along the way.
