No trust in Forde NGR inquiry's independence

LNP Shadow Industrial Relations Minister Jarrod Bleijie today said it was unbelievable that Annastacia Palaszczuk had no problem with the independence of a former Labor candidate to run the NGR inquiry.

"Following questions in Parliament to the Premier tody - It's now official: this is not an inquiry, it's a cover-up," Mr Bleijie said.

"It is unacceptable for Annastacia Palaszczuk to appoint an undisclosed former Labor candidate to head this inquiry.

"Ms Palaszczuk botched the procurement of these trains when she was in the Bligh cabinet and she's terrified the truth will come out.

"That's why she's put her own man in charge.  It is clear this inquiry is tainted. You can't have a former Labor party candidate running it, it is simple as that.

"The key players aren't even being interviewed and there will be no public hearings.

"This is how Annastacia Palaszczuk's alleged 'open and transparent' government really works."
