Pop this exciting event in your gay diaries: in the last weekend of February, the Noosa Rainbow River Festival kicks off its fifth year celebrating the wonders of the Noosa River.

- The Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club is the place to be on Friday night the 28 February for
welcome cocktails from 5pm onwards. Melony Brests will then be dropping her balls at Drag Queen Bingo hosted by the Lazy River Restaurant just down the road.
- Saturday night is the not to be missed Noosa Mardi Gras party at the Villa Noosa Hotel with DJ Les.
- Up early Sunday 1 March for a BYO picnic near the Big Pelican on Gympie Terrace on the fabulous Noosa River.
- The Main event is the Rainbow Pirate themed river cruise aboard the MV Catalina.

We travel slowly down the river partying all the way - we haven't left anyone behind yet. Other options are bring along your own rainbow decorated boat, or any other water craft. You can hire a boat from the huge selection of boat hires along the river.

Gay friendly accommodation is in abundance around Noosa and its hinterland. The Visit Gay Australia website is chockers full of friends of the LGBT+. Be sure to mention why you are coming to Noosa to get a great deal on your booking.
