On Sunday 25 November 2018, members of the North Arm Pistol Club (NAPC) held a fundraising day to support drought affected Queensland farmers. This event was a follow-up to a fundraising week held by the SSAA Sunshine Coast branch.

NAPC President Kerrod Parsons said, “Many of our members are from the land and understand the tough times that farmers are facing. We have the greatest respect for farmers and primary producers and wanted to contribute to funds currently being raised to assist those adversely affected by drought.

“The day consisted of competition matches, followed by a BBQ and raised a combined total of $2011 which will be forwarded to Rural Aid LTD.

“The North Arm Pistol Club is a sports and target shooting club that has been operating within the Davison Range Complex at North Arm since 1984. We host competitions 2 days per week with State and National events as scheduled. In 2016 we hosted the pistol competition for the Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games.

“The club’s goal is to promote safe responsible sports and target shooting within the community and provide excellent facilities for members and visitors.”
