On Friday, November 1, new police beat at the Wharf Mooloolaba was officially opened.

The police beat means a police presence in the high traffic retail precinct to help the community feel safe and secure. It is also a benefit to the surrounding businesses.

Minister for Police and Minister for Corrective Services, the Honourable Mark Ryan MP was joined by Acting Superintendent Graham and Dirk Long to officially open the police beat.

The beat comes with an experienced officer in charge (OIC), Sergeant Steven McDonald, who you all may be familiar with.

Sergeant McDonald was also the OIC at the previous police beat on Brisbane Road, Mooloolaba.

We look forward to seeing the Mooloolaba Police Beat get up and running after its offical opening.
