Sunshine Coast Libraries are continually adding new products to their catalogue to provide more great services to our community.
The latest additions include a video streaming service, Kanopy, which is accessible through the eLibrary, and new eNewspapers available for download at library branches.
Community Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said having a library membership was all you needed to access these and a whole range of resources in every possible form and format.
“Whether you are a child or a senior there is something for everyone,” Cr McKay said.
Kanopy is a new on-demand video streaming service offering up to 10 downloads per month to each library member.
A large collection of films is available to choose from including feature and independent films, as well as documentaries.
Users can access captions, transcripts, multilingual options, clip creation, and make playlists.
The video streaming service is being offered by all public libraries across Queensland through a partnership with the State Library of Queensland.
While you’re visiting the Library, don’t forget to explore the new eNewspapers, made available via a Fairfax subscription to all libraries.
Members can now read today’s edition of The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Australian Financial Review for free.
You can even download an edition to read offline, customise your view and your font size.
To make the deal even better, come to a Library branch and use our free Wi-Fi to download the paper to your device and read at your leisure.
