Maroochydore Police are happy to advise that the rightful owner of the “mystery of ten hats” has been identified and has collected the property from the station.

The owner is a director of a company that sells the hats online.

“One of the boxes had gone astray,” Senior Constable Jeremy Spencer said.

“The owner actually didn’t know the box was missing until someone told him that the hats were at the police station.”

This news caps a positive week which united owners with their lost property and highlights the importance of community partnerships with police.

Sunshine Coast police would like to thank residents for their continued support and civic spirit.
