Police hit the pavement at Monteville

Police from Palmwoods Police Station and the Sunshine Coast Crime Prevention Unit hit the pavement and attended over 60 businesses in Monteville recently.

Police spoke to the staff and owners to help educate them in stealing and fraud offences, their rights and responsibilities when reporting and dealing with offenders and very importantly who they should be reporting any incidents too such as Policelink, Crime Stoppers or Triple Zero (000).

Police witnessed one of their own, Senior Constable Adrian Smith, committing an offence against his waistline when he went shopping… I mean giving advice at the local fudge shop, home of the handmade Monteville fudge.

The staff were very friendly and genuinely interested in the advice police had to offer them.

It is a very tight knit community in Monteville and it was a pleasure to be able to mix with such a positive and safety conscious community.

We look forward to visiting again soon!
