Postal Vote Applications for Queensland Local Government Election close Monday!

As you should be well aware, we have local elections coming up on Saturday the 28th of March. If you are unable to go to the polls or, amidst COVID-19 concerns don't feel comfortable making it to the polls, you have until Monday the 16th of March to get your postal vote applications in if you haven't done so already!

Early voting

  • Monday, 16 March 2020
    • Early voting period opens
  • Friday, 27 March 2020
    • Early voting period ends at 06:00 PM

Postal voting

  • Monday, 16 March 2020
    • Postal vote applications close at 07:00 PM
  • Tuesday, 07 April 2020
    • Close of return of postal vote ballot papers at 05:00 PM

Election day

  • Saturday, 28 March 2020
    • Election day 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Head to the elections page on the QLD Government website (Electoral Commission Queensland) to sign up for postal voting or check your eligibility for telephone voting.
