Premier: Don't blame me, blame my Government

Published:

Annastacia Palaszczuk has failed the test of leadership – again – by delaying a decision on the Carmichael coal project, LNP Leader Deb Frecklington said today.

Ms Frecklington said it was extraordinary that the Premier had blamed her own Labor Government for delaying the project.

"The Premier has responded by doing the only thing she is good at – blaming everyone else," Ms Frecklington said.

"But this time, no-one believes Annastacia Palaszczuk's pathetic excuses.

"The only people who have delayed the Adani project are Annastacia Palaszczuk and her job-destroying Ministers.

"They have cynically moved the goalposts for this project time and time again.

"Even now, Annastacia Palaszczuk still lacks the backbone to make a decision.

"She has flick-passed the responsibility to the Coordinator-General – who has already been involved in the approval process for this project since 2010.

"There is still no deadline for a decision on this project after nine long years.

"Annastacia Palaszczuk has shown again that she is anti-jobs, anti-resources and anti-regions."
