LNP Leader Deb Frecklington has said it is clear Annastacia Palaszczuk has no plan to fix Labor's watch house crisis following today's announcement.
"Queenslanders don't want more talkfests or departments, they want real action to fix the watch house crisis," Ms Frecklington said.
"Annastacia Palaszczuk has failed the test of leadership once again.
"Moving bureaucrats between departments won't solve the watch house crisis – we need to move the kids out today.
"Labor have ignored the advice of experts, rejected the LNP's common-sense solutions and blocked our attempt to put a 72-hour limit on watch house detention.
"We need a Royal Commission into Labor's child cruelty crisis and action to get these kids out of watch houses now."
LNP Shadow Attorney-General David Janetzki said Labor's response was breathtakingly inept.
"Rather than more staff at 1 William Street, we need more frontline staff in our youth detention centres," Mr Janetzki said.
"There is still no date for when these kids will be removed from watch house hell-holes.
"It's clear Annastacia Palaszczuk doesn't have a plan."
