Property industry stalwart Peter Sherrie has been appointed to the board of SunCentral Maroochydore.

Mr Sherrie, General Manager of national development company, Urbex, commenced the new role on 1 October, 2019.

He replaces retiring board director Don Boyd.

SunCentral Board Chair Dr Doug McTaggart praised Mr Boyd for his contribution to the Maroochydore CBD project.

“Mr Boyd brought a wealth of property and development industry expertise to the board,” Dr McTaggart said.

“In the past four years his input has been invaluable to the progression of the new Maroochydore CBD.”

Dr McTaggart also welcomed Mr Sherrie to the SunCentral Board.

“Mr Sherrie has been a major contributor to the Australian property sector for almost 30 years with his previous roles including the delivery of master planned communities for Stockland, Delfin/Lendlease and Peter Kurts Properties,” Dr McTaggart said.

“During his career Mr Sherrie served as both the State and National President of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA).

“Mr Sherrie joins the Board at an exciting phase of the project, with the first commercial buildings now starting to emerge.”
