LNP Deputy Leader Tim Mander said the Palaszczuk Labor Government’s $250 million taxpayer funded cash splash for public servants should have been used to finally deliver the full Sunshine Coast rail duplication.
“Annastacia Palaszczuk’s priorities are all wrong,” Mr Mander said.
“This $250 million taxpayer funded cash splash could have fixed the $230 million funding shortfall for Sunshine Coast rail duplication.
“Labor have played politics with this project by not matching the Federal Coalition’s funding commitment and would rather spend taxpayer’s money buying votes than building Sunshine Coast infrastructure.
“The Sunshine Coast rail duplication will provide more public transport services and reduce congestion on the Bruce Highway.
“Labor are simply are trying to buy votes then actually deliver major infrastructure on the Sunshine Coast.”
