The Railway Squad had the pleasure in supporting our emergency service colleagues at the Sunshine Coast Emergency Services Expo on Sunday, May 19 at the Sunshine Coast Stadium.

The Railway Squad displayed the capabilities of the Mobile Police Facility with approximately 300 community members inspecting the vehicle.

Alongside the Railway Squad were our partners Queensland Rail and members of the Rail Operation Response Unit (RORU).

The RORU provide proactive and reactive responses to situations effecting Rail Operations on the City network.

They do so by ensuring that that alternative methods of train operations are managed effectively and the network is made safe and services restored as quickly as possible whilst complying with all Safeworking Standards and Legislative requirements.

RORU are another emergency service that works behind the scenes at Queensland Rail to continue ensuring the safety and security of passengers and staff across the network.

It was a great day working alongside all Sunshine Coast emergency services personnel. Thank you to all who came out to visit us.
