The regular 'Lock it or Lose it' message promoted by police, which many may be tired of hearing does have some truth to it.
On October 25, two motorists, unfortunately had their vehicles stolen at different locations on the coast.
The two vehicles were left unlocked and with the keys in the ignition, one parked on the footpath and another in the driveway.
Both victims were outside properties they were visiting for only a brief time before the vehicles were stolen.
Both vehicles also contained personal items of value. The vehicles or the property have not yet been located.
The message is simple, lock and secure your vehicle, even if you are leaving the vehicle briefly. You never know who is watching. Better safe than sorry.
