Road safety education starts young at Mooloolaba

As part of the lead up to the September school holidays, Mooloolaba State School, in partnership with local police, introduced the children to road safety.

The prep classes had a full morning of road safety. A bike track was set up on the oval equipped with stop signs and of course lollipop traffic controllers.

Each child had to navigate around the track obeying all the road rules.

Mooloolaba Police and the Adopt-a-Cop for the school, Constable Lauren Villers and Volunteer in Policing John were on hand to assist and to teach the preps about how to keep safe on the roads.

The children also had the opportunity to have fun with the police and enjoyed exploring the police vehicles.
