"The LNP in Queensland welcomes Prime Minister Scott Morrison's commitment to fully fund a royal commission into abuse and neglect in the disability services sector.

"A royal commission into the disability services sector is an opportunity to resolve quality of care issues, increase accountability and improve transparency.

"While Queenslanders continue to transition to the NDIS, it’s crucial the Palaszczuk Labor Government puts politics aside and works with the Federal Government to deliver better outcomes for people living with disabilities.

“Abuse and neglect have no place in our communities and I am in full support of the royal commission and action to assist Queenslanders with disabilities.

“I urge the Palaszczuk Labor Government to work alongside the Federal Government to ensure the best outcome for Queenslanders living with disabilities."

Dr Christian Rowan
LNP Shadow Minister for Disability Services
