The second annual Prostate Cancer Awareness lunch to be held tomorrow (Tuesday 13 August) at the Noosa Tigers AFL clubrooms is another complete sellout with organisers confident of exceeding last year’s fundraising total.
Chair of the Noosa Prostate Association Mitch Miller said he was thrilled that all tickets had been sold out well in advance and strong bidding has already commenced online for the 28 items on offer this year.
“This lunch has become one of the must attend events in Noosa, the local community gets right behind it as we help to raise much needed funds to find a cure for the disease which currently affects more than 200,000 Australian men.
“This year we have some magnificent auction items including a number of stunning accommodation packages both local and overseas as well as great artwork and a surfboard used by former world champion Layne Beachley.
“I am sure there will be strong competition for these items and all funds help us achieve our target of raising over $100,000 on the day which is a really incredible effort,” Mitch said.
Media personality Steve Haddan will be the Master of Ceremonies and former AFL great and ‘Lambassador’ Sam Kekovich is the guest speaker.
