Slow down in road works

Published:

Acting Sergeant Sandy Atkinson on Nov 16, 2020 @ 2:26pm

Roadworks throughout Queensland require a driver’s complete care and attention when moving through these zones for their own safety and the safety of the workers who are improving the road network.

Drivers need to drive to traffic and road conditions including hazards and uneven road surfaces, follow signage including reduced speed limits, and instructions from road workers and traffic controllers present at the roadworks site.

For the safety of road workers and all motorists within these zones, the Queensland Police Service assist with the safety at these sites by performing mobile patrols, speed detection and speed camera duties.
