Solar farm fail

NOTE: This article is older than 12 months

The Palaszczuk Labor Government's spectacular solar farm fail was just another money-wasting exercise that Queensland taxpayers have a right to be filthy about.

Queensland Courts have now determined on two occasions, that Labor's push for licenced electricians to perform the work of labourers and trade assistants is inconsistent with the Electrical Safety Act.

Labor's new regulations pushed up costs and impacted regional job opportunities for local workers.

The industry and other groups such as the Clean Energy Council and the Master Electricians Australia also commended the decision by the Courts to strike out the recent regulations.

You can't trust Labor.

Embattled Minister Grace Grace has failed the people of Queensland yet again.

These new regulations were  inspired by the Electrical Trades Union, under the cover of being safety-related.

The Palaszczuk Labor Government put their union mates ahead of everyone else.

While safety is paramount in the solar industry, the Minister would be well advised to restart the process which involves proper consultation and doesn't put regional jobs at risk or drive higher renewable energy costs.v
