He may not have broken a sweat in the Masterchef kitchen …. however the heat is about to turn up for Sunshine Coast chef Matt Sinclair.
The part owner of the Asian fusion inspired Sum Yung Guys will take centre stage at this year’s Hot 91.1fm Ignite Chilli Festival.
Showcasing his flair for handcrafted flavours, Matt will reveal the winning edge for a satay chicken to inspire and delight during a cooking demonstration for the region’s foodies and chilli enthusiasts.
Matt’s Asian-inspired Sunshine Beach restaurant plates up an experience that is about more than just tantalising tastebuds - the share-style crafted menu is a fusion of Asian cuisine and culture, where foodies can share in one of life’s greatest joys—food.
“Our food is an expression of everything we have come to love about the region and our cocktails have been developed to compliment our passion for Asian cuisine and culture,” Matt said.
“I’m looking forward to bringing some of our signature dishes to life at the Festival.”
The Ignite Chilli Festival will showcase the diverse applications of chilli as an inspiration for food experiences - from coffees, to desserts and all meals in between.
Taking over Bulcock Street for the day, the Festival is exactly what it says on the bottle: a day of tongue-tingling, face-melting, waiver-signing fury.
With more than 10,000 people expected to attend this year, the Ignite Chilli Festival is set to become the biggest chilli festival in Australia.
For the brave of heart (and taste buds), you can also sign up for the chilli eating competition and earn the glory that comes with burning from the inside out!
