“My sympathies are with the Mackenroth family who have been used as a political football by Annastacia Palaszczuk.

“The only person who couldn’t see the obvious problem with naming a stand at Suncorp Stadium after a former politician was Annastacia Palaszczuk.

“The Premier’s stunning lack of judgment with her ‘captain’s call’ has been exposed.

“Annastacia Palaszczuk’s decision was so out of touch that she was even rolled by her own Cabinet.

“If the Premier is looking for someone to blame about the stadium debacle, she need only to look in the mirror.

“As I said previously, Terry Mackenroth’s contribution to Queensland was appropriately recognised with the new multi-million dollar Carina gymnasium named after him.”
