Statement from LNP Shadow Minister for Environment David Crisafulli

Published:

“The LNP first proposed containers for change in 2016 because it makes sense economically and environmentally.

The support from the public one year on from its implementation confirms this.

There remain big areas for improvement and we will continue to push for more outlets, particularly in regional Queensland and more consistency in the way facilities are run.

We will also continue to call on the Labor Government to find markets for the goods that are being recycled, much of which is currently sitting in stockpiles with no plan for its reuse.”
