One Nation leader Steve Dickson will today sign a ‘Queensland Agreement’ that ensures his team of elected members will work with Labor and the LNP post-election, to ensure a positive and prosperous outcome for the whole state during the next Parliament.
Mr Dickson said “Although the Labor leader has signed a statutory declaration claiming she will not work with One Nation, I’d prefer to offer an assurance to Queenslanders that my elected colleagues and I will work with whoever is voted in this weekend.”
With 20% of Queensland voters openly backing One Nation, pollsters are predicting a balance-of-power situation, forcing Labor or the LNP to strike a deal in the event of a hung parliament.
“We lost our Upper House in Queensland back in the 1920’s, leaving no checks and balances for almost a century. If One Nation holds the balance of power, you can expect my team and I to play the role of the Upper House and hold the Government accountable.”
Mr Dickson will sign his Party’s pledge at 9am, Tuesday the 21st of November.
