Stockland launches third suburb in its Aura community - two years ahead of schedule

Stockland is launching a brand new suburb at Aura, its flagship $5 billion masterplanned community on the Sunshine Coast. Banya is the third official suburb to be created as part of the development, with the first home sites going on sale on 13 January – two years ahead of schedule.

The launch of Banya has been brought forward to meet demand from customers looking to secure their own piece of land in the growing city.

Banya will be bordered by the Aura Brook in the north, a two kilometre long lush green nature reserve with the first stages currently under development, and by Bells Creek North on its southern edge.

Banya, which is inspired by the Bunya Tree, will comprise 4,000 homes and townhomes on completion and will include a broad range of community amenities including a state primary school and private P-12 school, two neighbourhood village centres and up to three childcares.

Parks and green space will also be a key feature of Banya, with a five hectare district recreation park and a range of neighbourhood parks and playgrounds, with all homes within 400 metres of one of these spaces.

The first land release in Banya will see more than 50 land lots up for grabs ranging from 250 to 571 square meters, starting from $222,000.

Josh Sondergeld, Project Director at Aura, said the launch of Banya would provide more opportunities for Queenslanders to build their dream home.

“We saw a rise in the number of enquiries following the HomeBuilder announcement, with several land and townhome releases fast tracked to cater to demand,” Mr Sondergeld said.

“The launch of Banya is a huge milestone for Aura, providing buyers with another great opportunity to move into a growing community with everything at their doorstep.

“Aura is a 6 Star Green Star certified community and one of the largest mixed-use developments in Australia. It is taking shape as a world-class environmental and socially sustainable community, which will continue over the next 25 years.”
