Stockland has revealed plans for a stunning new waterfront townhome community in an enviable location, within its popular Birtinya community on the Sunshine Coast.

Overlooking a tranquil lake and parkland, Sway Birtinya is within walking distance of the Sunshine Coast Health Precinct and future Birtinya Town Centre, with the first stage of the $87 million Stockland Birtinya Shopping Centre due to open by the end of 2018.

The private enclave will feature 60 stunning designer homes ranging from one bedroom with a multi-purpose room to four bedroom townhomes, as well as a central park for residents and a communal swimming pool with barbecue pavilion.

The project is part of Stockland’s expanding medium density pipeline of more than 3,000 townhomes across Australia.

Matt Patullo, Senior Development Manager at Stockland, said the exciting new project was Stockland’s only townhome precinct within Birtinya and was developed in response to the changing needs of customers.

“Townhomes are becoming an increasingly popular option for first home buyers and we’re noticing this trend among many Baby Boomers looking to downsize as well,” Mr Patullo said.

“Sway Birtinya is aligned with our national townhome strategy which will see us deliver more than 400 townhomes this year in connected, population growth corridors across the country.

“This new project has been carefully designed to cater for modern lifestyles with a focus on low-maintenance, high quality living set within one of the Coast’s most vibrant new neighbourhoods.

“Sway Birtinya is expected to generate keen interest from home buyers looking for affordable living in an enviable location.”

Sunshine Coast architects O.G.E Group have drawn on their passion for the region to deliver an outstanding and innovative design that reflects the coastal location.

Open-plan interiors and fresh colours perfectly encapsulate the Sunshine Coast lifestyle, while thoughtful designs, durable materials and easy-care gardens ensure residents have plenty of time to enjoy life.

John Robertson, Director at O.G.E Group, said the design combined a coastal essence with an urban vibe in celebration of the site’s location just south of the Sunshine Coast Health Precinct.

“Life’s busy so you want to come home and relax and enjoy the Coast, whether in your private space or in the communal areas,” Mr Robertson said.

“We’ve focussed very much on every home having a connection to the outdoors, and every residence having its own identity.”

A choice of two interior colour schemes reflect the community’s position, with a bold scheme for an urban vibe and light cooler tones for a fresh coastal look.

“O.G.E are passionate about responding to the site around us on all our projects and Sway Birtinya is no different,” he said.

Prices in the first release range from $329,000 for a one bedroom townhome, and from $625,000 for a three bedroom townhome with lake views. The first release will be available to the public on October 27.
