Coolum Police want to remind the public to make sure their credit cards are secure. If you believe your card/s have been lost or stolen, please report it immediately to your bank.
A number of stolen credit cards have been presented at shops in the Coolum Division recently.
The alleged offenders have obtained goods from local businesses for small amounts but have made multiple transactions, via paywave.
We ask business owners and attendants to report any suspicious credit card use to Policelink, obtain a good description of the person, note the times of the transactions and keep any CCTV footage that you may have.
