Sunshine Coast Australia Day Awards 2021
Nominations for the Sunshine Coast Australia Day Awards are now open – and you’re encouraged to nominate.
 
You are encouraged to nominate a person, community group or organisation making a difference to life on the Sunshine Coast, giving them the recognition they deserve.
 
The Award categories are:
  • Citizen of the Year
  • Senior Citizen on the Year
  • Young Citizen of the Year
  • Community – Group or Organisation
  • Environment and Sustainability
  • Creative 
  • Sport and Recreation
 
2020 has been an unprecedented year with the Covid-19 pandemic wreaking havoc across the globe, but at the same time has seen many people go above and beyond to support their community. 
 
This year, the Sunshine Coast Australia Day Awards has partnered with the Sunshine Coast Lightning to recognise these special people by awarding an Outstanding Achievement Award, which will be presented to one community member or organisation selected from all of the nominations received.
 
Nominate a worthwhile candidate now via council’s website.
