Sunshine Coast business community – Have Your Say!

Published:

Business owners, managers and industry leaders across the Sunshine Coast, we want to hear from you!

How do you think the region's businesses are faring? What are you focussed on in your business? We want to hear your ideas and feedback in the annual Business Confidence Survey.

The survey provides critical information to business and industry groups and government about general business confidence or concerns, economic drivers and trading conditions on the Coast.

Sunshine Coast Council Mayor Mark Jamieson said confidence was crucial to the success of the region's economy and local business growth.

"Understanding how local businesses are managing market conditions helps council to tailor its programs and services targeted at local businesses so that the region is better placed to achieve the goals in our Regional Economic Development Strategy," Mayor Jamieson said.

"Council looks forward to the local insights that come from the survey to help shape what we all can do to continue to build a vibrant local economy, now and in the future."

The Sunshine Coast Chamber Alliance coordinates the survey with council.

Sunshine Coast Chamber Alliance chairperson Linda Delamotte said this year's survey questions were prepared with input from professional teams from small and large businesses. The questions span a range of indicators relevant to the region's continued business growth.

"Each year the survey attracts at least 500 responses from across the region to give us important insights into how business people are thinking, planning and reacting to change or pressures," Ms Delamotte said.

"We encourage everyone in the business community to take part and give us frank, real world opinions and insights into the realities of your day to day operations and outlook."

The Survey offers a convenient avenue for business owners to provide anonymous feedback on a wide range of matters including staffing, capital investment and means for growing their business.

The 2019 Business Confidence Survey is open until 14 October. Go to Sunshine Coast Business Confidence Survey to have your say.
