The Public Safety Business Agency, on behalf of the Queensland Police Service (QPS), is currently in negotiations to acquire land for the future development of a District Headquarters for QPS at Maroochydore.

This development will accommodate District functions which are currently housed in leased buildings.

The new District HQ will be in addition to the existing Maroochydore Police Station.

“I know the Queensland Police Service is committed to enhancing policing operations on the Sunshine Coast,” Police Minister Mark Ryan said.

“I am also informed initial planning and design work has commenced on replacement police stations at Coolum and Nambour.”
